About Dhruva Tara

Genesis of Dhruva Tara Social Welfare Association:
A Journey Towards Social Empowerment

We are grateful to introduce Dhruva Tara Social Welfare Association, an organization founded by a group of seven dedicated individuals who came together with a shared vision to serve society. Our mission is to support individuals in need, especially those in destitute situations, across both rural and urban areas. We focus on various aspects of social welfare, including education, healthcare, and support for the homeless. Additionally, we are committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, yoga, and forest restoration to create a better and more sustainable future.

We are committed to establishing homes for deprived children, the elderly, and homeless individuals with the support of civil society organizations, CSR groups, and private and government collaborations. Our goal is to provide care, shelter, and support to those in need, ensuring their well-being and dignity.

We are honored to introduce our organization's Founder and General Secretary, Mrs. Rama Devi Garu, a highly esteemed social activist who has been tirelessly advocating for children's and women's rights in Hyderabad for the past 15 years. With a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), she has dedicated her career to creating a meaningful and lasting impact on society.

Mrs. Ramuni Udaya Rani, the President of our organization, is a key leader who has been contributing her services to society for the past 25 years. She holds a Master’s degree and possesses specialized expertise in budget planning, financial management, legal proceedings, and organizational governance. Her leadership and dedication play a vital role in the organization's success.

Our organization's Treasurer, Ms. S. Vakula Mala Devi, is a vital member of our leadership team. She holds a Master’s degree and has in-depth knowledge of social issues. With a strong commitment to social service, she plays a crucial role in managing the organization’s programs and financials while actively working to support and uplift underprivileged communities.

Mrs. Rama Devi Garu, the founder of Dhruva Tara Social Welfare Association, took the initiative to establish the organization with the vision of providing better and more impactful services to society across various areas of need. She brought together like-minded individuals with a strong commitment to social causes, shared her vision with them, and gained their support to form the organization.

As a result, Dhruva Tara Social Welfare Association was officially registered on October 19, 2024, under the Telangana Societies Registration Act, 2001, with Registration No: 896 of 2024. The organization is dedicated to improving the lives of those in need and creating a lasting social impact.

We invite you to join us in supporting destitute individuals in need. We are now launching homes for children (both girls and boys) aged 8 to 18 years in Telangana State, with a vision to expand our services across India in the future. Your support can help us provide these children with care, education, and a brighter future.

Education Support & Skill Development Initiative

We are committed to supporting Primer and Higher School and College children by providing books, stationery, educational guidance, and scholarship assistance. Additionally, we aim to establish soft skills centers, including computer training, spoken English, tailoring, and Mehendi design, to enhance their skill sets.

Furthermore, we plan to set up libraries at the Basti and village levels to help students and unemployed youth prepare for competitive exams. Our special focus is on girl child education, ensuring their growth, empowerment, and a brighter future.

Public Health and Wellness Initiative

We are deeply committed to public health and will implement health awareness programs and medical camps in both rural and urban areas, providing medical support with qualified doctors and essential medicines.

In the future, with the support of donors, we plan to establish hospitals in rural areas to ensure quality healthcare for the underprivileged. Additionally, we aim to set up yoga centers in schools, colleges, and communities, promoting emotional well-being and mental peace.

Furthermore, we will conduct awareness programs on safe drinking water, healthy and hygienic food, encouraging better health practices for all.

Promoting Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Farming

Agriculture is one of our key focus areas, as the consumption of chemically treated food has become a major health concern. To address this, we aim to conduct awareness campaigns for farmers on the importance of organic farming and its benefits for public health.

Additionally, we will organize training sessions on sustainable agricultural practices, equipping farmers with the knowledge and skills to cultivate healthier, eco-friendly crops for a better future.

Advocating Human, Child, and Women’s Rights

We are committed to protecting human rights and combating human trafficking, child abuse, and violence against women. Through awareness programs, we will educate communities on women’s rights, child rights, and human rights, empowering individuals to stand against injustice.

To strengthen our efforts, we will collaborate with the Women and Child Welfare Department, Police Department, and Labour Department, ensuring a collective approach to safeguarding vulnerable individuals and promoting a just society.
